Can't download Ms Security Essentials latest virus definition updates? Here are the fixes

You can also try below commands from command line

on XP: proxycfg -u

on Windows Vista/Windows7: netsh winhttp import proxy ie

SOLUTION: It seems the issue caused by SpyBot. You need to uninstall SpyBot or disable Spybot Immunize or go back to IE7 untill issue solved by either MS or SpyBot

Like many other people i have just installed the new IE8 to my computer. To my shock, instead of a faster browser i ended up with a browser that starts extremely slow. It takes up to 5-6 seconds for IE8 to start.

I have no addons part from Kaspersky Antivirus 2009's browser object and Spybot's browser object for protection. I have searched on the net with no luck.
Any one having similar issue?

After messing around with it, I figured out how to make it faster.
Tools -> Internet Options
General Tab -> Click on Use Blank
Click Ok

After doing some research, it seems like when you have a page stored as your default, it tries to load that page, and if you have a script intensive site like MSN then it tries to load it every time you open a tab.

Who knows, that's just been my observation, and the _Blank startup page makes my browsing experience 200% better.
